Walter H. Allington Jr., 92, passed away quietly with his family at his side, July 8, 1994.

Born July 20, 1901 to Walter H. and Elizabeth Howard Allington. Faithful, active member of the LDS Church throughout his life. Worked 49 years for Granite Mill.

A kind, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Survived by, Arthaleen, his wife and sweetheart of 69 years; two sons, Ray (Wendy) Allington, Alaska; Frank (Lynda) Allington; four daughters, Leah (Dean) Nielsen, Ogden; Phyllis (Frank) Turner; Arlene (Dean) Smart; Fay (Richard) Burnett, all of Salt Lake City; 24 grand-children, 47 great-grandchildren; brother, Allen; sister, Vilate Jensen.

Preceded in death by two children, mother, father, four brothers, one sister.

Funeral service will be held Monday, July 11, 1994 at Holladay 18th Ward, 2625 Milo Way, 12 noon. Friends and family may call Sunday at Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive, from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment Murray City Cemetery.
