|Death: ||Dec. 7, 1928|
General regret is felt here over the passing of Mr. B. M. Allin, Jr., aged 25 years, who died Friday in the Baptist Hospital in Louisville. His health became impaired last spring from infection and for many months he was in the A. D. Price Memorial Hospital. Some weeks ago he was moved to the Baptist Hospital in Louisville to be under the care of a specialist. His mother was with him on Thursday, returning home much encouraged over his condition. That night he became worse and was gone before she reached his bedside. Few young men in Harrodsburg were as popular as Mr. Allin, his cheery disposition and ready humor, his faithfulness to business, together with his sterling qualities of character made him esteemed and loved by all. His funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the Christian Church, of which he was a member conducted by his pastor, the Rev. T. Hassell Bowen, and the Rev. J. W. Carpenter, of the United Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery amid a wealth of flowers sent by sympathizing friends. Mr. Allin was the son of the late B. M. Allin, Sr., and Mrs. Anna May Nooe Allin, who survives. He leaves two half-sisters, Mrs. Eben Hardin and Miss Mattie Miller Allin, of this place; two uncles, the Rev. Roger T. Nooe, of Nashville, Tenn., and Dr. F. J. Nooe, of Cornishville, and an aunt, Mrs. Robert Thompson, of Wilmore.
