Birth: Oct. 5, 1868
Quebec, Canada
Death: May 12, 1942
Suffolk County
Massachusetts, USA

Adelard was the son of Eusebe Joseph Allie and Elvine Charland. He immigrated to the US from Canada in 1885. He was the brother of Delia, Ephrem, Amie, Donat, Joseph, Marie, Pierre and Elie.

Adelard married Amanda Bolduc on 24 November, 1890 at St. Martin Church in Somersworth, Strafford, New Hampshire. The had 11 children - Frederick, Jeffrey, Henry, Henri Romeo, Ludger, Aurora, Louise, William, Mary, a baby boy and my great grandmother Marie. Amanda died in 1912 and he married Georgiana (Regina) Picard, they had one son Edward that was stillborn.

Adelard had many different jobs including working as a cotton weaver, he was a barber and his family also worked in the circus. My grandfather remembers him as having a big sunshine tattooed on his stomach, it must have been part of the circus act.
