Joe, his family and friends were reminiscing on the many wonderful stories and joking that once he got to heaven he would be able to hit from the red tee's.

They were privileged to enjoy 52 years of marriage. They enjoyed traveling the world, cruises, wintering in Alamo, Texas, in their RV. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and especially golfing. As a member of the Plattsburg Country Club, he achieved his two hole in one's. Joe was a member of the Purple Martin Society, loved water and snow skiing and enjoyed following the Missouri Tigers.
Joe was a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus both in Plattsburg.
He retired after 41 years at Intercontinental Engineering and Manufacturing Corporation as Data Processing Manager in Riverside, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Bill, John, James and Howard.
Joe is survived by his wife, Janette; two daughters, Janet Lynn Parton and fiancé, Tim Morey, Gower, and Jolene Williams and husband, George, Kansas City, Mo.; granddaughter, Brooke Rene Taber and husband, Jarret, Plattsburg; sisters, Betty Jean Chappell, Camarillo, Calif., Mary Grace Sprague, St. Joseph; sister-in-law, Jean Beery, Plattsburg; and brother-in-law, Chuck Beery and wife, Sharon, Gower; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
