Birth: Aug. 31, 1873
Centre County

Death: Apr. 18, 1945
Bedford County

The body of Christ A. Aller, 71, of Liberty Township, Bedford County, was found yesterday afternoon in the woods near Cove Mountain by a searching party of Boy Scouts and their leaders. Beside him lay a twelve gauge shotgun which had been fired into his head in such a way as to indicate that the man took his own life. The aged man lived by himself in a small cabin along the west side of the highway between Saxton, and Cove Station, just one half mile from the Huntingdon County line. The body was found to the right of the old roadbed on Cove Mountain, about two miles from the state highway. He was last seen on Wednesday, April 18, and the condition of the body indicates that, he probably died on that day. Yesterday neighbors became alarmed when they realized that he had not been about his premises for some time and the searching party was organized and set out about four o'clock to conduct a systematic hunt in the area. Christ A. Aller was born in Center County on August 31, 1873, the son of Emanuel Aller and Priscilla Taylor Aller. His wife Elizabeth Russell Aller died several years ago. Surviving are three brothers and one sister: Harry Aller, Riddlesburg; James Aller, Cumberland, Md.; Charlie Aller, Pittsburgh; and Mrs. Chester Holmes, Dudley.
