Allensworth Dorothy Jones died and went to be with her Lord on November 14, 2001, in Paradise, California. She was 87 years old. A graveside service will be held in her memory on Sunday, November 18, at 2:00 PM in Pine Grove Cemetery in Mc Arthur, California. Mrs. Allensworth was born April 24, 1914, to Charles and Alice May Wittig in Warren, Arizona. She married Bento Jones on December 15, 1935 in Los Angeles and Norman Allensworth on November 14, 1994 in Hayward, California. She was employed as a registered nurse in 1935 through 1938 and mother and spiritual example and mentor to many for the remainder of her life. Survivors include her husband, Norman Allensworth, of Hayward, California; her daughter, Deanna Craig, of Chico, California; her son, Altan Jones, of La Pine, Oregon; her sister, Mary Alice Smith of San Jose, California; eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She left a rich spiritual legacy to them all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benton Jone, her brother, Charles Wittig, and a grandson, Jim Jones. Memorial contributions may be made to Paradise Hospice, P.O.Box 2287. Paradise, CA 95967-2287. Rose Chapel Mortuary in Paradise is in charge of the arrangements.
