Mr. Clyde Allenby, of Greenville, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005.

Mr. Allenby was the son of the late Albert and Annie Allenby, and husband of the late Bettie Taylor Allenby.

Mr. Allenby was part owner and vice president of Upstate Machine and Tool Company, Inc., and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Sandy Allenby and her husband, Gordon Slingerland, of Taylors, and Teri Minor and her fiance, Clint Kucera of Landrum; a sister, Ilene Warren of Lyles, Tenn.; and stepfather, Ralph Holderfield of Greer.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at 3 p.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, with Rev. Chris Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
