Born Sept. 12, 1917, in Picardy, Md., she was the daughter of the late John R. and Emiline (Robinson) Crabtree.
Mrs. Allen attended Grace Brethren Church in Hagerstown.
She was employed as a clerk by the Union Rescue Mission thrift store.
She is survived by two sons,
Leroy G. Allen and wife, Donna L., and
Millard W. Allen, all of Maugansville;
six grandchildren; and
five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents,
she was preceded in death by her loving
husband of 55 years, Leroy L. Allen;
a daughter, Shirley Mackereth;
three brothers,
John Crabtree,
Lee Crabtree and
Butler Crabtree;
a sister, Tiny Nixson; and
a daughter-in-law, Deborah Ann Allen.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Rest Haven Funeral Chapel in Hagerstown is in charge of the arrangements.
