WILLIAMSPORT - Ronnie Gene Allen, 59, of Williamsport, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at his home.
Born Oct. 17, 1948, in Middletown, W.Va., he was the son of the late Lester Franklin and Virgie Elizabeth Morris Allen.
He attended schools in Richwood, W.Va.
He retired from Preston Trucking in Hagerstown, after more than 20 years of employment.
He was a Baptist.
He was a member of Local 992 Teamsters of Hagerstown and Local 639 Teamsters of Washington, D.C.
He is survived by his
wife of 40 years,
C. Sue Dawn Norwood Allen;
[one son, Mark Allen of Hagerstown] *see below
four sisters,
Wanda Alderman,
Susie Willis and
Judith Lockhart, all of Gaithersburg, Md., and
Lynda Lazzarine of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.;
one brother,
Randall Allen of Frederick, Md.;
nieces; and nephews.
He was preceded in death by
two brothers,
Grant Parsons and
Michael Parsons.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Osborne Funeral Home in Williamsport. Pastor Dave F. Vance will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
