William Hallard Allen
(July 21, 1923 - July 13, 2009)

William Hallard Allen passed away Monday, July 13, 2009 at his residence, at the age of 85 years, 11 months, 22 days. He was born on Saturday, July 21, 1923 at White Oak, KY, a son of the late William "Coon" and Nettie Little Allen.

Hallard was united in marriage to Loretta Haney. To this union was born three children, one son and two daughters. Hallard supported his family by working at May Grocery Company as a Shipping Clerk. He was a born again Christian and a member of the White Oak Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, Hallard was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Laura Nell Allen; and one sister, Charles Ranell Allen.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 58 years, Loretta Allen; one son and daughter-in-law, Danny Bill and Linda Allen of White Oak, KY; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Ritchie Whitt and Myra and Larry Lykins all of West Liberty, KY; six grandchildren, Danielle and Dwayne Lewis of White Oak, KY, Rebecca and Brian Russell, and Larissa and Larry Fredley all of West Liberty, KY, Isaac and Kayla Fugate and Hannah and Devin Adkins all of Ezel, KY, and Trevor Lykins of West Liberty, KY; six great grandchildren, Morgan and Logan Lewis, Braxton and Gavin Russell, Jacob Nickell, and Kenyian Fugate; and four special nieces, Carol Hoskins, Beverly Johnson, Debi Mayse, and Ranell Henry.

Funeral Service 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the White Oak Christian Church. Burial to follow in the Allen Cemetery, White Oak, KY. Visitation 6 p.m., Wednesday at the Potter Funeral Home.

Pallbearers: John Oldfield, Jack Cline, Estill Hicks, Randy Williams, Michael Griffitts, William Parker May, and All His Many Friends.
