Thelma Irene Allen Hockman, 80, Brandenburg, died Aug 8, 2003, at Harrison County Hospital, Corydon, IN. She was born July 17, 1923, the daughter of Paul Warren and Mary Eleanor Arnold Allen. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Alva Eugene Allen, James Lamar Allen, William Randolph Allen and Robert Verlin Allen; and 4 sisters, Mary Mildred Adkisson, Neva Louise Greer, Beatrice Marie Hardesty and Anna Rita Benham. Mrs Hockman is survived by a daughter, Paulette G. Whelan, Brandenburg, 2 granddaughters, Bethany Erinne Whelan and Sarah Katherine Whelan; 5 sisters, Loretta May Jupin, Nina Ruth Humphrey, Rena Lou Humphrey, Bonnie Jean Wardrip, and Helen Patricia Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Aug 11 from St John the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev Philip Erickson officiating. Burial was in St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery, Payneville, directed by Hager Funeral Home.

Thelma Irene Hockman, 80, died Friday, Aug. 8, 2003 at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Indiana. She is survived by Paulette Whelan (daughter) of Brandenburg, KY., Bethany Whelan (granddaughter) of Brandenburg, KY., Sarah Whelan (granddaughter) of Brandenburg, KY., Loretta Jupin (sister), Rena Humphrey (sister), and Bonnie Wardrip (sister), Helen Smith (sister). She was predeceased in death by her father Paul Allen, her mother Mary Arnold, her brother Alvin Allen, her brother James Allen, her brother William Allen, her brother Robert Allen, her sister Mary Adkisson, her sister Neva Greer, her sister Beatrice Hardesty, and her sister Anna Benham. She was born July 17, 1923 in Meade County, Kentucky the daughter of Paul and Mary (Arnold) Allen. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy to St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery Fund. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 11, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. Rev. Phillip Erickson will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery in Payneville.
