Paul E. Allen, age 65, of Richmond, died Monday, September 29, 2014, at Reid Hospital. Born July 3, 1949, in Batesville, Indiana, to Chester F. and Mildred M. Lanning Allen, Paul grew up in Connersville and was a graduate of Connersville High School. He lived most of his adult life in Richmond. Paul had been the Senior Vice President and Security Officer of First Bank Richmond, where he had worked for 37 years. He owned Allen Real Estate Appraisals and taught drum lessons at the Music Pantry in Richmond. Paul was a board member for the Starr Gennett Foundation and was a member of the Hiram Masonic Lodge #417, F. & A.M. in Centerville. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Rhonda Toles Allen; daughter, Christina Allen of Richmond; granddaughters, Lena and Olivia Allen, both of Richmond; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation for Paul E. Allen will be from 5 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond, with a Masonic service at 7:45 p.m. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2014, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Kerry O’Brien officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery in Connersville.
