HANNIBAL - Mercedes Caldwell, 94, of Hannibal, died at 7:21 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, at Luther Manor in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. The Rev. Gerald Begley will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
Ms. Caldwell was born Dec. 16, 1908, in Hunnewell to John Edward and Jenellie Patterson Allen.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley A. Phelps and Marilyn Webb, both of Palmyra; one son, Ronnie Caldwell of Hannibal; two sisters, Elizabeth Dwyer of the state of Tennessee and Margaret White of Center; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; one daughter, Catherine Caldwell; one son, Albert Caldwell; four brothers; and two sisters.
Ms. Caldwell was a retired dietitian of St. Elizabeth's Hospital. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Hannibal. She loved flowers and her Lord.
Pallbearers will be R.L. Caldwell, B.J. Webb, Brad Pemberton and Jack Webb.
