Verdine McGregor was youngest daughter of Hugh D. McGregor and Lois, and was born and raised and graduated high school in Arcola IL. She married Cecil W. Allen 25 Dec 1951, and joined him where he was stationed in the Navy, but later returned to Arcola and Oakland IL, ran movie theater in Oakland, and later moved to Florida where she died. Her body was returned to Arcola for burial in the cemetery where her sister in law, Jean Parrish McGregor (first wife of Dale E.McGregor) and Hugh D. were buried and Lois later would be. She had no children, but after her death Cecil remarried in Florida to Grace, who was very good to Lois, and they raised a daughter Amy. Verdine's sister Virginia Bartholomew is buried nearby the Parrish Barham burials, and Hugh and Lois and Jean Parrish McGregor, but not not same plots.
