"Mrs. J.B. Adoue Jr., Wife of President Of Bank, Passes - Services for Mrs. J.B. Adoue Jr., 50, wife of the president of the National Bank of Commerce, who died at 3 a.m. Tuesday at her home, 3428 Cedar Springs, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the home. The Rev. Walter Quinn, Holy Trinity Church, Catholic, will officiate. Burial will be at Grove Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be E. L. Flippen, William Flippen, Marion Head, Henry Coke Knight, George Gardere and George Miller. A native of St. Louis, Mrs. Adoue, the former Miss Hester Allen, came to Dallas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Allen, when she was 8 years old. She was married to Mr. Adoue in 1910. Mrs. Adoue was a charter member of the Hesitation Club, treasurer of the Dallas Shakespeare Club and a member of the Dallas Woman's Club and the Dallas Bankers' Wives. Surviving are her husband; two sons, J.B. Adoue III and Bertrand Adoue; a sister, Mrs. William H. Dodds, Washington, D. C., and her parent, Mr. and Mrs. Allen, Dallas."
