Graveside services for Emma "Jayne" Allen, 70, Eudora, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Eudora City Cemetery.
Ms. Allen died Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at her home.
She was born August 1, 1942, in Wewoka, Oklahoma, the daughter of George Ray and Mable Elizabeth Seale Funderburk.
Ms. Allen worked at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed planting flowers, playing cards, working on jigsaw puzzles, going to garage sales, watching KU basketball, and fishing.
Jayne was an 8 time cancer survivor. She had a strong fighting spirit and was loved by all who were blessed to be a part of her extraordinary life.
She married Jerry Allen. He preceded her in death in 2007.
She is survived by a son, Richard Allen and wife Tammy; daughter, Jeri Sledd and husband Brian; brothers, Ron Funderburk and wife Betty, Steve Funderburk and wife Nancy; grandchildren, Korie Allen and Chelsea Viray, Zachary Allen and Betty Allen, Tyler Allen, Dylan Rust, Chase Rust, Andy Sledd and Erin Mayer, Mike Sledd; great-grandchildren, Keaton, Chloe, Victoria, Zayden, Emma, and Danica.
