Betty June Allen, 95, of Bloomington passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at her residence. She was born on March 27, 1925 in Sullivan, Indiana; the daughter of Dorwin and Myrthel (Linsey) James.

Betty worked for RCA before moving to Anderson, Indiana and continuing her career with Delco Remy, as a machine operator, until her retirement following 28 years of service. Betty married Lester F. Allen on April 4, 1953, and they shared 67 years of marriage together. She attended Olivet Nazarene University. Betty was member for 70 years of the First Nazarene Church. She enjoyed reading and sewing.

Betty is survived by her husband, Lester F. Allen; and cousins, Brenda Whitley, Dennis Linsey, Brian Linsey, and Tom Deckard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Patty Rose James.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Knott Cemetery in Bedford, Indiana. Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 S. Old State Road 37, Bloomington, have been entrusted with arrangements.
