Mrs. Mary Hambrick Allen, age 92, of Route 2,
Ellaville, died early Wednesday morning,
Dec. 29, 2004. Funeral services will be held
at 11 a.m. on Friday at Corinth Methodist
Church in Ellaville with burial to follow in
the Ellaville Cemetery. The Rev. G Helms
and the Rev. B Gerstel will officiate. Mrs.
Allen was born Dec. 10, 1912, in Macon County,
the daughter of Jesse Walton Hambrick and
Katie Vyrlin Souter. She was a homemaker and
a member of Corinth Methodist Church. Mrs.
Allen was preceded in death by her husband
James Ossie Allen and a grandson James Massey.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law,
three daughters and two sons-in-law,
one sister, Hazel of Ideal and one brother,
Walton of Columbus; 11 grandchildren; 14
great-grandchildren and one great,
great-grandchild also survives.
