Mrs. Allen
SHAMWUT - Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Adah Allen, 71, of Shawmut, at 3 p.m. Friday at the Shawmut United Methodist Church. The Revs. Paul Owen, J. H King, and Mike Lenon will officiate. Johnson-Brown Service Funeral Home is in charge of arramgements. Burial will be in Shawmut.
Mrs. Allen was a member of the Shawmut United Methodist Church. She had been a resident of Shawmut for the past 37 years.
Survivors inlcude three daughter, Doris Messer, Shawmut; Janice Hester, Marietta, Ga.; Barbara Jackson, Huguley; two sons, Ted B. Allen and George D. Allen, both of Lanett; her sister, Eddie Lee Hill, Hogansville; and two brothers, Frank Ragsdale, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; and Dorsey Ragsdale of West Point.
