Marchia was born March 9th 1942 to Ethel (Wesaw) Tillman and Albert Tillman of Fort Washakie. She attended Fort Washakie Government School, and then attended Haskell Indian High School in Lawrence Kansas where she met and later married Irvine Dale Ell in 1961 and had a daughter Pauline Tana (Tillman) Welsh in the same year. This marriage ended in divorce. she later met James Monon Allen in 1965 then later adopted a son Kenneth J. Allen in 1968. She spent several years with Jimmy until his death in 1991.
Marchia enjoyed being around family and friends, being with her great-granddaughters Marquelle and Carmelle, she also loved to bead various items, she found interest in reading old Shoshone tales, she enjoyed going to the casino. She also loved when it rained and thundered, she found comfort in the sound and smells of rain storms. She liked to cook and hang out in the kitchen and talk about good ol' days when she was a little girl. She was a very good listener when you needed somebody to talk to, she gave great advice when you needed it and wasn't shy to speak her mind and tell you how it is. She was a great well respected lady and a blessing to be around. She always found it in her heart to help others when in need and if she couldn't she would find a way. She was a very loving woman and she will be missed by all.
Survived by immediate family, Children Pauline Welsh and Kenneth Allen. Grandchildren Sonya Allen, Marcus Welsh, Emmett Goggles, Great Grandchildren Marquelle Welsh, Carmelle Welsh, siblings include Elsie Norah, Mildred Weeks, Lydia Harris, Juilia Llamm and brother in law Starr Weed Sr. and family. With numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
