Blacksburg - Archie K. Allen Sr., 80, of Blacksburg, died Friday, Dec. 29, 1972, in a Shawsville nursing home.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Paul T. Price Sr., Blacksburg, Mrs. Ralph S. Compton, Phoenix, Ariz.; two sons, Kenneth E. Allen, Mapplecove La., Archie K. Allen Jr., Blacksburg; a sister, Mrs. Fred Shealor, Blacksburg; a brother, Buford Allen, Blacksburg; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held Sunday, Dec. 31, at 2 p.m. at Hoy Funeral Home with burial in Westview Cemetery. Rev. Edwin Troutman officiated. Pallbearers were Don Fain, Rodney White, Freddie Olinger , Gene Gregory, Deuayne Shelor, and Anderson Reed.
