Calvin Levone Allen Sr. -- a native of Montrose, AL and a resident of Mobile, AL. born December 21, 1943, exchanged life for eternity Thursday March 30, 2006 at a local nursing facility. He was a 1961 graduate of Baldwin County Training School and also a graduate of Kennedy Tech. College Chicago, IL. He was a Journey Electrician for thirty-five years with IBEW local 134, Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by a son Calvin L. Allen Jr, parents Charles and Donna Allen, brother Charles Allen. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted family two sons Corey L. Allen, Sr. (Karen), Mobile, AL, Rodney Allen (Shamika) Evanston, IL; former wife and mother of his children and caregiver of five years Nellie Allen, Mobile, AL; five sisters Doris (George) Pickett, Diane (George) Coleman, Patsy (Raymond) Jackson, all of Daphne, AL, Charlesetta Green, and Pamela (Samuel) Watson; two devoted brothers Alfred (Juanita) and Levone Allen all of Montrose, AL; seven grands Jalicia, Carmisha, Corey Allen Jr. all of Mobile, AL, Beyounce, Dezenay, Levone Allen and Dyrick Coleman all of Evanston, IL; special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, April 7, 2006 from 1-8pm and Saturday April 8, 2006 after 10am until the noon funeral hour at Montrose AME Methodist Church interment church cemetery.
