John P. "Jimmer" Allen, 66, of Rockwood, TN, passed away June 19, 2002. Graveside services and interment were held June 21 at Ozone Cemetery, with the Rev. Ben Ward officiating.
Mr. Allen was born March 17, 1936, in Ozone, TN, the son of George and Nellie Allen.
He was employed with Lockheed Martin, Y-12, as a machinist for 23 years. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Evon Carter Allen of Rockwood; sons, John W. Allen of Ozone, Alonza "Jackie" Allen of Crossville and Gary Lynn Allen of Rockwood; sisters, Mary Cordell of Homestead, FL, and Barbara Kindrick of Rockwood; and grandchildren, Adam Allen and McKinzie Allen.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Evans Mortuary of Rockwood was in charge of the arrangements.
