Raymond C. "Satch" Allen
(15 June 1932 - 20 October 2012)

Raymond C. "Satch" Allen of Miami, Oklahoma passed away at his home, Saturday, October 20, 2012.

He was 80 years old and a loving father and grandfather.

Satch was born on June 15, 1932 in Hallowell, Kansas to Vernon & Wilma Allen.

He graduated from Columbus Kansas High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed with the 510 Field Artillery in Salzburg, Austria. Following his service he located to Miami, Oklahoma where he was employed with B.F. Goodrich for a total of 36 years.

He married Phyllis Jane Smith and together they had two sons.

He enjoyed sports and was active in coaching Little League baseball for many years and Pop Warner football.

He is survived by two sons; Jay Allen of Jefferson Texas, Mitch Allen and his wife Dawn of Miami, Oklahoma, two granddaughters; Sara Allen and fiancÚ, Nathan Clausen of Kansas City, Missouri, Bethany Bigby and her husband, Mitchell, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, 3 brothers, Larry Allen, Dickie Allen and Randy Allen. Also surviving are 4 special friends, Barbara Weiss, Lawrence "Duck" Barger, Lloyd George and Buck Burrows.

Funeral services for Raymond C. "Satch" Allen will be held, Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the G.A.R. Cemetery, Miami, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Allen, Lawrence "Duck" Barger, Lloyd George, Mitchell Bigby, Nathan Clausen and Brian Brassfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in c/o of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Miami.
