He was here also, under the same officers, i n1749, and '50, and, as we have reason to believe, shared in all the dangers incident to the times, and defense of the place, up to the conquest of Canada. He was a proprietor of the townships, under the new Hampshire charters, and at the first town meetings, held Aug 14th, 1753, was elected one of the town officers.
