FROM OAK LEAF

Ida May Davis was born in Sheridan, Indiana, November 18, 1869, and died at Oak, Nebr., May 30, 1919, aged 49 years, 6 months and 12 days. She came to Valparaiso, Nebr., in 1886 and after a few years came to Oak, where she was united in marriage to Taylor Allen, December 21, 1904, residing in Oak and vicinity until September, 1913, when they moved to Sheridan, Wyo. On account of failing health they returned to Oak December 1918, hoping that the change would be beneficial. Everything that loving care and medical skill could suggest, was done, but of no avail, and she grew rapidly worse until death came to her relief and ended her intense suffering which had borne so patiently. Besides the bereaved husband, her aged mother and a host of friends both here and at Sheridan, Wyo., are left to mourn her death. The funeral was held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. A.C. Bates. Interment in the Oak cemetery.
