Funeral services for Doris Youngblood Allen, 89, of Cordova, Tenn., and formerly of Moorhead, a retired school teacher, will be at Card Funeral Home, Indianola. She died June 30, 2004, at Cordova Rehabilitation and Nursing.
Burial will be in Moorhead Cemetery under the direction of Card Funeral Home, Indianola.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, A.M. Allen Jr.; one sister, Elizabeth Cruthird; and one granddaughter, Mamie Allen.
Mrs. Allen was a teacher in the public schools in Moorhead and Indianola and also taught at Indianola Academy. She was a member of Moorhead Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, A.M. Allen III of Baton Rouge, La., and John S. Allen of Bartlett, Tenn.;
a sister, Carolyn Bushman of Jackson;
three brothers, Charles G. Youngblood Jr. of Warner Robins, Ga., and Frank M. Youngblood and Dr. W.A. Youngblood both of Jackson;
seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
