Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2143 South Center Road, Burton, Father Matthew-Peter Butrie officiating. Burial in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. A Parastas Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Flint, MI.
Anna was born in Russia on February 14, 1910, the daughter of the late Zachary "Si" and Mary (Nosnoff) Smirnoff. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she took pride in her decorations. She loved gardening, dancing and golfing. Anna was employed by AC Spark Plug Division for 45 years, retiring in 1970.
Surviving are sister-in-law, Pauletta Smirnoff of Flint; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William and John Smirnoff; two sisters, Ella Morton and Catherine Barinoff.
