Beatrice Stafford "Mrs. Bea" Allen, a retired cafeteria manager at Denham Springs Elementary School and a resident of Denham Springs, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at Harvest Manor Nursing Home, Denham Springs. She was 79 and a native of Walker.

Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Vergie Allen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Missy and Bobby Tassin and Faye and Joe White; 32 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Flossie Bernard; a brother and sister-in-law, Sharp and Juanita Stafford; a sister-in-law, Irene Allen; a brother-in-law, Lamar Coxe; devoted caregiver, Mardie Burge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Morris Allen; a son, Ronny Allen; a grandchild, Jodi Addison; parents, John and Emma Stafford; three sisters, Ellen Cornette, Bernice Coxe and Johnnie Carmena; and two brothers, Joe Stafford and Denoue Stafford.

She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church and Sunday school.
