Lena Mae Beason was born April 17, 1933, in Dodds Township, Illinois, to William Wilburn and Lois Leta (Johnson) Allen. She died June 22, 2012, in Claremore, Oklahoma, at the age of 79 years. She moved to Indiana as a young girl and was a graduate of Hammond Technical Vocational High School. She was married August 19, 1951, in Indiana to Don Beason. Lena spent most of her working life in various clerical jobs as a bookkeeper. She and her husband Don owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Grove, Oklahoma, for many years. She was also a member of the Extension Homemakers Club of Grove. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including quilting, sewing and crafts.

And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don, and a sister, Stella Maxine Gregory.
A family gathering will be held at the family home 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June, 30, 2012. Private family interment will be held at the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Oklahoma, at a later date. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
