Mrs. Allen was a Library Science teacher and was involved in a lot of charity work.
She is survived by two brothers: James Burge and wife Nonnie of Oklahoma and Robert Burge and wife Ellen of Arkansas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service has been planned for a later date.
