Donald A. Allen, 83, of Wilson Borough, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 in New Eastwood Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.
Born November 17, 1930, in Wilson Borough, PA, he was a son of the late Russell A. and Pearl M. Daubert Allen. Donald was retired as a master pressman in 1992 from the former Mack Printing Company where he worked for over 40 years. He graduated from Wilson High School Class of 1950. Donald served in the US Army during the Korean War in the 23rd Infantry Co, 2nd Division. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan and enjoyed gardening, cooking and reading. Donald was a former member of Palmer Moravian Community Church. He was a life member of Order of Fleas.
Surviving are three daughters, Lynn Ealer and her husband Steve, of Easton, Diane DeYoung and her companion John Willson, of Palmer Township and Karen Manarino, of Nazareth; a son, David Allen and his wife Michelle, of Williams Township; a brother, Richard Allen and his wife Lois, of Glendon; four grandsons, Ryan Manarino, Justin Browning, Jacob and Joey Allen; two step-grandchildren, Kevin and Travis Moyer, and a great-granddaughter, Luna. He was predeceased by a grandson, Christopher Allen. Services were held Thursday, November 13, in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc, 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough.
