CHURCH HILL – Ina Knight Allen, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday (February 25, 2015) following an extended illness.
Ina was a native of Rogersville but spent most of her adult life in Church Hill and Kingsport. She was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church, Ina was saved at an early age in Bible School. She worked for several years at Sears in the catalog department and after that department closed she was a sales clerk at Belk’s for several years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Allen, two sons, Lowell Thomas Allen, Jr., and Steven Mark Allen; her parents, Hobert and Maxie Church Knight, sisters, Johnnie Shipley and Frankie Allen.
Survivors include her son, Jeffery “Chip”; grandchildren, Desira, Jarred, Ian and Nolan; sisters, Joyce, Thelma and Norma.
Due to weather conditions a graveside memorial will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Mitch Russell officiating. Interment will be in Church Hill Memory Gardens.
