Cremation was accorded. Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at the Abingdon Cemetery. His ashes were buried in the Allen plot.

Born July 15, 1965, at St. Mary's Hospital in Galesburg, IL., to Albert Ardell and Bertha Jean (Poulson) Allen. He was married to Jamie Lynn Kidd, she preceded him in death on August 12, 1994.
Daniel is survived by his son Daniel Mack Dee Allen Jr., three half-brothers, Samuel Allen, and Ronald Allen both of Galesburg, Il., and Jerry Allen of Abingdon, one half-sister, Jenny Parks of Galesburg, Il, and his Aunts Ruth Ann Boyer, Sally Anderson, Diana Parker, Amy Atchison, Nancy West, Ethel Clark, and Mary Hensley & many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, mother, father, stepfather Billy Dowler, and 3 half brothers, Donald Dee Allen, Herbert Gale Allen, Edwin Raymond Allen, and Uncle Dale Poulson.
