Vickey D. Sanford, 50, of Cordova died Monday, June 23, 2003, at University Hospital in Birmingham.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. today, June 25, 2003, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanford was a member of Dovertown Freewill Baptist Church where her husband, Rev. Jerry Sanford, is a minister. She had also served as the librarian at Cordova City Library for the last year and a half.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jason Wayne Sanford; father, Dewey Allbritton; brother, Grant Fields; and father-in-law, Alonzo Sanford.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Jerry Sanford of Cordova; two daughters, Shara Hallman and her husband, Bubba and Jeri Sanford, all of Cordova; mother, Nadine Allbritton of Cordova; grandmother, Alice Hagood of Cordova; brother, Danny Fields of Cordova; sister, Lynne Higginbotham and her husband, Jerry of Arkansas; mother-in-law, Gertha Sanford of Cordova; brother-in-law, James Sanford and his wife, Carol of Parrish; sister-in-law, Sue Sherer and her husband, Ray of Jasper; and several nieces and nephews.
