Services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Billings Community Church for Chester L. Allen, 79, of Sage Township, who died July 3 after a long illness.
Born in Yale on May 17, 1886, he had been a resident of Gladwin County since 1912. He was engaged in farming.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Mary E. Fisher, of Branden Castle, Fla.; and two brothers, William R., of Yale, and Hugh B., of Beaverton.
The Rev. Neil G. Keyes officiated and burial was in Billings Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 7-7/1965 Column - 3 Page - 1.
