Rufina P. Alires, 60, died January 7 at her residence in Central. She was a native of that town and had lived all her life there. Survivors include her husband, Ramon, of Central; two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Parra of Silver City and Mrs. Magdalena Garcia of Bayard; five grandchildren; two brothers, Benny Parra and Fernando Parra, both of Albuquerque; two sisters, Mrs. Juanita Holguin of Alamogordo and Mrs. Esperanza Trujillo of Las Cruces; and her mother, Mrs. Sarah Parra of Alamogordo. Rosary services were held Thursday at the Curtis Mortuary Chapel and Mass was said in the Santa Clara Catholic Church in Central on Friday with interment following in the Central Cemetery. Mrs. Alires's nephew, the Rev. Thomas Parra, officiated. Pallbearers were Frank Jimenez, Pete Alires, Mace Parra, Sam Garcia, Salvador Atencio and Albert Jimenez.
