Funeral services for Chalmer I. Alger, 79 years old, who died Saturday at his home at Tonkawood after a long illness, will he held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lakewood chapel with burial in Lakewood cemetery. Born in Colbrook, Ohio, Mr. Alger came to Minneapolis in 1869 and had lived here and in Tonkawood since. He lived at the West hotel when it was first built and later moved to Tonkawood where he had been for the past 25 years. A brother in Chicago survives.
