Mrs. Pamily Turner, wife of Robert C. Turner, of Newport, died at her home on Friday afternoon after years of ill health. Death was due to Bright's disease and heart trouble and ensued after she had been confined to her bed for two months.
Surviving Mrs. Turner are her husband and the following children: Simon, Herbert, William and Samuel Turner, all of Newport, this county, and Mrs. William Calhoun, of New Market.
All of the children are married. Mrs. Turner was a daughter of the late Fred Alger, of Newport. She leaves two brothers, David Alger and Fred Alger of Newport and Mrs. Artie Oden, of Mt. Jackson, Va.
The deceased was an active and consistent member of the Newport Christian church. Her Christian character was recognized and she will be greatly missed in the community as well as in the stricken home.
The funeral which was held from the Newport Christian church Sunday was conducted by her pastor, Rev. A.W. Andes, with interment in the old Alger graveyard.
