Mr. Aubrey Charles Alford, age 78, of Macclenny Fla., died Feb. 22, 2002. He was a native of Sanderson, Fla. and had resided in Jacksonville, Fla. over 50 years before moving back to Macclenny five years ago.
He was the son of the late William and Annie Crews Alford and the widower of the late Vera Nadine Alford. He was employed in the maintenance department of Flavor Rich and Farmbest Daires for over 30 years until his retirement. He was a Navy veteran of WWII.
Survivors include his daughter Annie Lura Taylor of Orange Park, Fla.; his son Charles Steven Alford of Atlanta, Ga.; five grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26 in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Griffin, Pastor of the Mt. Zion New Congregational Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville, Fla. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25 at GURREY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East Macclenny, Fla.
