Frances loved to grow vegetables and cook. Frances made wonderful fried chicken, stuffed cabbages, pieroges, homemade cakes, pies & cookies. Frances made pecan pies that were 4 inches deep with homemade pie crust. She always kept a box of toys at her house for her grandchildren. When her grandchildren came to visit, the first thing she asked is what kind of cookies do you want Granny to make? She liked to take the grandkids shopping when they were young and let them pick out some toy or clothes. Once she let her 10 year old grandson, Kenny, pick out shiny white shoes which he loved to wear. (His parents were so glad when he outgrew them!)Frances was also gifted with the ability to sew and make handmade quilts. She made king size quilts for each of her children and made baby quilts for the first born of each of her 3 children. When Frances visited Bremond with her son Ken & his family, they always took the grandchildren fishing on the tanks and if they caught enough fish, Ken cleaned them and Frances cooked them. Of course, those grandsons made so much noise, that sometimes they just had fun and no fish.
