Mr. Alexander was born June 26, 1913 in Wilkes County to Jesse and Maude Harris Alexander. He was retired from Southern Railway and was a member of Rachel Baptist Church.
His wives, Bessie M. Mahaffey Alexander and Opal May Caudill Alexander preceded him in death.
He is survived by: five daughters, Betty A. Billings of Elkin, Wanda A. Foster of Roaring River , Norma A. Barlow, Peggy B. Wood, Pat B. Davis all of North Wilkesboro; three sisters, Elsie A. Kimmer, Billie A. Foster, Dorcas A. Brogdon all of Mocksville; one brother, Fred Alexander of Fairmont, GA; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild.
