Francis Virginia Alexander, 84, went to be with the Lord, July 26, 2013. She was born September 15, 1928 in Heflin, LA. She was a loving mother and friend. She loved to do many things such as fishing, china painting, and sewing. She was always able to master what she pursued.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Grady Alexander; parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Jones; sisters, Cathy, Vivian, and Winifred; and brother Vance. She is survived by her sisters, Becky and Linda; children, Curtis Alexander and wife, Karen, and Frances Lee and husband, Robin; a host of grandchildren, Bryan Alexander, Tommy Alexander, Brad Alexander, Amy Taylor, Meagan Lee, and Savannah Talbert; great-grandchildren, Dylan Coleman, Landon Coleman, and Cierra Taylor, and special friend, Bruno.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Moore. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2013 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Joseph Hospice.
