The Wellington Leader February 13, 1947

H. M. Alexander, 62 year old Wellington carpenter, died Sunday evening, February
9, of injuries received the preceding night when the car in which he was riding
left the road and overturned in a ditch south toward Hollis from the
Wellington-Mangum highway. The accident occurred about two and one-half miles
south of the junction.

Henry Melvin Alexander was born in San Antonio July 3, 1884, and at the time of
his death he was 62 years, 7 months and 6 days of age. He had lived in
Wellington 26 years.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice Alexander of Wellington; and five
children, Mrs. Charles Jones and Bill Alexander of Denver, CO; Bulb Alexander
and H. M. Alexander, Jr. of Wellington. Eleven grandchildren also survive.
