He moved to Llano County with his parents as a child and to Breckenridge in 1918 from San Angelo, Texas. They moved to the Fincher Oil Camp, just east of the Parks Oil Camp. He was a retired employee of Gulf Oil Corporation. His wife preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survived by five sons - H.L. and Hubert; Angus, Riley; Joe; three daughters - Mrs. Walter Burnett, Mrs. J.W. True and Mrs. Ruth Mabe; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother - J.R. Alexander; two sisters - Mrs. Robert Rabford and Mrs. Theodore Sansom.
