Leonard G. Alexander, 74, rural Frankfort, died at 1 p.m. June 12, 2000, at Witham Memorial Hospital, Lebanon, after a brief illness.
Mr. Alexander retired from PR Mallory Co. in 1988. He worked as a tool maker for more than 20 years.
He was a 1944 graduate of Sugar Creek High School and a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He was a life member of Kirklin American Legion Post 310 and Siloam Lodge in Mechanicsburg, where he was a past master and 32nd degree Mason. He also was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He was born December 2, 1925, in Indianapolis, to Fred and Gladys Robison Alexander. He married Bonnie McCoy in Jeffersonville on December 2, 1950, and she survives.
He is also survived by three sons, Mark G. and Brian L., both of rural Frankfort, and Michael L. of rural Lebanon; one daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Trish) Pack of Seymour; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial with military rites will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Park.
