PEORIA, IL - Jacqueline Mae "Jackie" Alexander, age 69, of Peoria passed away at 3:40 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at her residence with her family at her side.
She was born on March 19, 1940, on Martin Street in Peoria, the daughter of Everett L. and V. Katherine Duncan Eskridge. Jackie married R. Wayne Alexander on Sept. 26, 1959, in Peoria.
Jackie was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and bowled in leagues for several years.
Jackie leaves precious memories for husband, R. Wayne, of almost 50 years to cherish. She is also survived by her daughters, Beverly Alexander and Sherry Maxwell (a possible adoptee); nine grandchildren, Cora Alexander, Brittany Hall, Kylara Brandt, Abigail Maxwell, Jerome Ware, Willie Cook, Shantell Cook, Kathryn Reese and Glen Reese; and one great-grandson, Malachi Hall.
Jackie had a very special place in her heart for her devoted dog, Coco.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Teresa Reese.
Jackie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to be around her family. She adored her grandchildren, enjoyed spending hours looking for cloud pictures, chatting with her neighbors over the fence and sharing jokes with everyone.
Cremation will be accorded. A private graveside service for burial of ashes will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria at a later date.
