Mrs. Alexander
Services Today

Mrs. Ethel Alexander, 69, Shawmut, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital, Langale, following a critical illness of one day.

A native of Troup County, Ga., she was born Nov. 29, 1900. Mrs. Alexander was a member of the Shawmut First Baptist Church and had been a resident of Shawmut for the past 50 yearas. She was retired from the Shawmut Mill.

Funeral will be held at 4 p.m. today at the Shawmut First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Neill and the Rev. J. H. King officiating. Burial will be in the Shawmut Cemetery with Johnson-Brown Service Funeral Home, Langdale, in charge.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Glaston Brown, Shawmut, and Mrs. Raymong Wheeler, Virginia Beach, Va.; three step-daughters, Mrs James Bledsoe and Mrs. Carey Bledsoe, both of Langdale, and Mrs. Talmadge Morrow, Augusta, Ga.; a brother, Leonard Williams, Grantville, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. Jewel Sims, West Point and Mrs. Lorine Tyson, Shawmut; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
