Dorothy Louise Alexander was born to Thomas H. and Stella J.( Jones) Roberts on August 9, 1911. She married Forrest Chadwell who passed in 1944. Later marrying Charley DeVore, their family grew and they spent time in traditional times as well as leisure. Sunday dinners were memorable.
Dorothy worked for many years in the laundry of the local hospital before retiring. After retirement, she met and married John Alexander. They resided in Ponca City. In 1981, Dorothy moved to Tahlequah to be with her daughter Charolette. After a very lengthy illness, she passed from among us on May 17, 1991.
Dorothy was survived by her daughter Charolette Ann Larchey of Tahlequah, 6 grandchildren, and numerous grand and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents,and daughter Velma Jean Daniels.
