OBITUARY- Mrs. Ladell S. Alexander, 96, of Vardaman, MS died on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, at Baptist Health Services Nursing Home in Calhoun City, MS. Born Friday, June 25, 1920 in Vardaman, she was the daughter of the late John Christopher Stewart and Cassie Pettit Stewart. She was the widow of the late Bro. Steven Bane Alexander. She was a homemaker and a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Shirley (Kenneth) Warren of Vicksburg, MS; daughter-in-law, Janice Alexander of Memphis, TN; two grandchildren Chris Warren and Jennifer Tillotson, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, John Steve Alexander, a daughter, Rebecca Alexander and a sister, Joyce Foshee.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Earl Alexander and Bro. Benny Hill officiating. Interment will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery, Vardaman, MS. Pallbearers will be Billy Alexander, Bo Duncan, Pat Foshee, Caleb Tillotson Jamie Tillotson and Chris Warren.
The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec, 30, 2016 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, MS.
